Proving that he’s more than just a pretty face behind a sweater vest, Fuchs hit the ten win mark when Jimmy Walker took the Sony Open to kick off our 2014 season. Despite the fact that the milestone was lost in the hullabaloo of a new season, Fuchs did not complain, in fact he did not even mention the milestone. That kind of saintly humility is why we love Fuchs so much, and his players seem to love him too. His 11th win (coming just a couple of weeks ago at the AT&T Pebble-Beach National Pro-Am) puts him ahead of Beast in that category, despite joining the league an entire season later. His 109 weeks to reach the 10 win mark is the third best mark in SSF history, and just two weeks slower than Bryce. Though he has yet to finish on the podium at the end of an SSF season, Fuchs is off to a great start in 2014, and his fantastic second round pick of Jimmy Walker could be the difference maker in Fuchs’ quest for the podium.
